This campground is an older one that was recently acquired by Ocean Canyon Properties in September 2017. It has the feel of a resort, with well-manicured grounds and amenities, although some of the facilities such as the clubhouse, restrooms, laundry facilities, and office are in need of repair. The campsites are small and close together, and the ponds are more like big ditches, making it difficult to enjoy the outdoors. There are a variety of activities available such as indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, playgrounds, mini golf, planned activities, dances with a DJ, petting zoo, pedal boats, deli, and fishing and crawfishing ponds. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but the owners are not managing the money well, leading to a run-down park.

Hideaway Ponds RV Resort is a family-oriented resort located in the heart of Cajun Country, only 70 miles from New Orleans. The resort offers full hook-up and pull-through sites, free Wi-Fi, an outdoor pool, indoor heated pool and hot tub, kiddie pool, two fishing ponds, large clubhouse, planned activities and live entertainment, shuffleboard, billiards, ping pong, playground, arcades, clean laundry facilities, and clean bath house. Guests can swim, fish, crawfish, or just relax under the magnificent oak trees.
