This campground is a great spot for nature lovers and outdoor adventurers. Located in a scenic forest setting, the park offers large viewing ponds of alligators, turtles and birds, as well as walking and biking trails for all different levels of activity. The campsites are all rebuilt brand new and have FHU, fire pits and picnic tables. The park also has paved roads, great for bicycling, and lots of shade trees. The free laundry, walking trails and interesting sounds at night from the adjacent swamp make this a great spot for families. The park rangers are constantly patrolling the area and emptying the trash cans. The campground is run down and not kept up, and some of the utility hook ups arent perfectly located, but this is common in older parks around the country. Long-time RVers generally carry extra water hoses and extension cords so this really shouldnt be a problem for most. There is also a large pond with turtles, lots of scenic trails, bridges, boat rentals, and fishing spots galore. The huge trees could pose a problem for opening slide-outs on some rigs, so it is important to check your site carefully before reserving it.

The park offers hiking trails, birding, and boat rentals. Personal golf carts are allowed on the property with a permit.
