Humble little Pelican RV Park is an adventure all unto itself! Located off the canal in the Gentilly neighborhood of New Orleans, this area is legendary for its street-racing scene. The park is small, but it makes up for it with its oversized lots and reasonable rates. An easy 6-minute drive puts you in the French Quarter, and the gated community is often a little-while home to some of New Orleans many musicians and performers. The property owner and operator, Greg, has a heart of gold and runs the Smileys Grill, located at the parks entrance, for a great price. The RV park has 50 amp hookups, sewer and water, and a fenced-in perimeter with a pass-coded gated entrance. The electric is good and the staff is excellent to work with. Big rigs should disconnect their towed as you have to make a sharp turn to enter the park. There are no picnic tables or a playground here - just RV sites. Site driveways are concrete runners (pavers) and gravel. Despite its location in a business district, the park is safe and secure. It is an ideal spot for those looking for a unique city-camping experience, but those who are picky and want all the amenities that a KOA offers may want to look elsewhere.

Pelican RV Park New Orleans is a well-maintained multi-acre site for manufactured homes, RVs, 5th wheels, travel trailers and other residential structures. The campground is located just 5 minutes from the French Quarter and down the street from the New Orleans Lake Front. Public transportation is available for easy access to the city's attractions. The campground offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a full bar on site. The staff is known for being friendly and the rates are the best in town.
