Gavel Falls Campground in Shreveport, Louisiana is a well-maintained and clean campground with newer park sites and a beautiful entrance. The staff is friendly and accommodating, allowing early check-ins. Although there is a lack of a staging area prior to check-in, the owner provides clear instructions through text. The campground is split into two sections, with the front area being newly developed and featuring nice amenities like patios. However, it is worth noting that traffic within the park is not always following the posted speed limit of 5mph. Regardless, guests can choose from a variety of sites, including some with beautiful overlooks. There are currently no doggy stations or dumpsters in the front area, but it is hoped that this will change in the future. The campground is a bit overpriced overall, but it is nice that they offer a smores package. Although the pool is across a major highway and requires a drive to access, the KOA is conveniently located near the Louisiana side of Caddo Lake and a few stores.

God's Country Resort offers luxury RV sites, teepees, log cabins, stone cabins, and a grand lodge for nightly, weekly, and monthly rentals. The resort features over-the-top glamping restroom and tile shower facilities, swimming pool, two laundry facilities, two disc golf courses, two dog parks, two jumping pillows, playgrounds, huge game room with pool tables and kids' rides, golf cart and paddle boat rentals, mining sleuth, camp store, three catch and release fishing ponds, train rides, and hiking. The former Gavel Falls Campground serves as the West Campus, which features a new swimming pool, catch and release fishing pond, 9-hole disc golf course, huge indoor game room, camp store, and more activities for children. The God's Country campus (East) offers a spectacular view high above the Soda Lake Wildlife Management Area and features two catch and release fishing ponds with piers, its own 9-hole disc golf course, and a jumping pillow. The resort is located only minutes from the downtown casinos.
