This campground is located in a great spot for those looking to visit New Orleans, only about a 20 minute drive away. It is far enough out to be quiet and relaxing, and the new owner has made major changes to the park since May, such as cleaning, updating, and installing security cameras. However, there are still some issues that need to be addressed. The grass has not been cut in over 4 weeks and is knee-high, making it difficult to walk a dog. The pool is in disrepair and has murky water. The breaker box has had the cover taken off and left open, making it unsafe. The laundry is in a metal shipping container that is heated by a space heater in the cold weather. The WiFi is poor and there is no cable TV, but there are 20+ channels over the antenna. The dump trucks drive on the driveways and do not obey the speed limit. Fresh gravel is needed and repaving with wider streets, water, and taking care of the little grass that is there is also necessary. This park does not accept the KOA discount card due to hurricane damage, but it has been a year and the issues should be addressed.
