The sites were level and had full hookups. The pool was nice, the playground was fun and the fishing ponds were stocked with catfish. The park was quiet at night, with the exception of the occasional truck hauling sugar cane. The owner was friendly and helpful, and had done a lot of improvements to the park. The Passport America rate was a great deal. The only downside was the rough 10 mile drive in and out of the park. This campground is a great spot for an overnight stay or a weekend getaway. Located 12 miles off of I-10, the park is a bit off the beaten path, but the drive is worth it for the amenities and the quiet atmosphere. The campground features level, paved sites with electric, water, and sewer hookups, as well as three fishing ponds, a lovely pool, a few playgrounds, and a large covered basketball/recreation area. The Passport America rate is a great deal for the full hookups, and the owner is friendly and helpful. The park is well maintained and has plenty of grass and trees, but the sites are a bit narrow and the 10 mile drive in and out of the park is rough. The park is also close to area attractions, such as Lake Martin, where visitors can enjoy alligators and egret nests.
