What others are saying about this campground
This campground is located on the intracoastal waterway, just under a bridge. It is a great spot to take in the views of the tugs and barges going by, and is a perfect base for exploring the wildlife refuges along the Gulf Coast. All sites are gravel and include a picnic table and garbage can. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. There is easy access to the water for fishing and crabbing, and the campground has two boat ramps. The rate is $6 per tent, and there is electric and water hookups, as well as a dump station. Unfortunately, the bridge and water noise can be loud, so light sleepers may want to choose a campsite away from both the water and the bridge. There is no wifi, but cell phone reception is good. Mosquitoes can be ferocious after sunset, so dont forget the bug spray. The caretakers collect the fee, but may not come around to get it, so be sure to knock on the door if you dont see anyone.
