This campground is located approximately 3 miles south of the interstate, making it a great spot for an inexpensive one night stop. The scenery is unique and beautiful, with some of the campsites overlooking the lake and the cypress trees. It is also conveniently located near a Pilot Travel Center, a propane place, and the lodge for any events you may be attending. The campground is patrolled by the Sheriffs department, making it a safe and secure place to stay. The grass is not cut, the picnic tables are rusted, and the concrete pads are full of winter debris. The other campers have tents everywhere and their dog is walking around eating trash. The rate is $34 a night, which is overpriced for the amenities offered. The road to the campground is rough and full of potholes, so be careful. There are picnic tables, fire rings, and grills on each site, and restrooms and showers are across the street. There are also many shelters to rent and a rentable party room if you are having a large event.
