Balsam Woods Campground is a family-run campground located off the highway to Greenville, Maine. It is the perfect place for a night or two of camping, with picnic tables, fire rings, and plenty of privacy. The campground offers a range of amenities, including a newly remodeled shower house, a laundry facility with dishwashing/utility sink, a heated outdoor pool, a game room, a camp store, a snack bar, and an ice cream counter. The campground is also dog-friendly, with doggie stations spread throughout for bathroom breaks. For those seeking outdoor activities, the campground is close to Borestone Mountain and sections of the Appalachian Trail, and is a great base for exploring Central Maine. The owners, Matt and Jamie, are friendly and accommodating, and have recently added three to four brand new log cabins and high speed wifi to meet the needs of their customers. The campground also offers a wagon ride on the weekends, a large playground, basketball court, volleyball net, arcade, and outdoor projector for Saturday night movies.
