Beaver Dam is a great small campground located in an inland park in Maine. The facilities are spotless, with a bathhouse that has a outdoor sink with hot and cold water for dish washing. The campground is a great jumping-off spot for day trips to southern Maine and Portsmouth, N.H. The rules are extensive and there are fees for guests. The campground is perfect for a getaway, with full hook ups, plenty of space, and a nice stone pad to park on. The hot and humid day and low chlorine level make for a nice dip and good conversation. The staff is accommodating and courteous, and the neighbors are respectful. The camp store does not allow people to enter without buying something. Upgrades that are recommended include adding cable and dependable wifi without extra fees.
