What others are saying about this campground
Peaks-Kenny State Park is a beautiful, wooded campground located in between Greenville and Bangor, Maine. The campsites are dirt/gravel and not level, so larger RVs may need to be careful. There is plenty of overhead tree cover below 13ft, so be sure to go slow. The centrally located shower house is new and nice, while the restrooms throughout the campground are older but still acceptable. The camping area offers a fun beach for the kids, fantastic sunsets, and plenty of hiking trails. Sites have enough buffer between them to ensure privacy. The road in from the park gate is a mile of well-graded gravel surface with no overhanging limbs. The lake is accessible via a short walking trail to a beach/picnic area with side trails along the lake shore or through the woods. There are about 56 sites in two loops and the sites are identified by the size of the RV that they will accommodate. There are a few kayaks to rent and large boulders for kids to climb and explore. Reservations can be made for the summer months, and after the mid of September the price drops. The cost for a night’s stay for an out of stater is $19.26 including tax for a night and that is without services.
