Forest Ridge Campground is an efficiently run and well-kept park with large pull-through sites and facilities including clean laundry and bathrooms. It is located in Ellsworth, a cool little town that offers plenty of nearby attractions such as Acadia, Fort Knox, local shops, and restaurants. The hosts provide lots of local knowledge and are helpful with advice on what to see and do. The park is quiet which made it a peaceful and relaxing experience. Wi-Fi is strong enough for checking emails and browsing the internet but not stable enough for work. Cable is limited but local over-the-air TV gets 5-6 channels. Phone service varies by carrier but AT&T service is 4G while Verizon is sometimes 5G. Overall, Forest Ridge Campground is a very nice park that serves as an excellent basecamp while exploring the surrounding area.

Forest Ridge Campground is a peaceful camping gateway to Down-East Maine and Acadia National Park. They offer large sites and quiet nights, and are located centrally to many unique Down-East Maine communities. They do not offer tent camping or sleeping in your automobile, except for long distance bicyclists. They have a no refund policy for cancellations, and offer amenities such as laundry facilities and a cabin.
