Timberland Acres RV Park is a top-notch RV-only park located just minutes from Mount Desert Island, Acadia National Park, and Bar Harbor, Maine. The campground is community-minded and caters to travelers of all ages. The grounds are clean, and the staff ensures that the sites are perfect and the noise is down. New owners took over several years ago and have upgraded amenities to compete with the best campgrounds in America. With upgraded internet/Wi-Fi, a very nice pool, and safe play area for kids, an ice cream parlor, and fully loaded sites for any size RV, Timberland Acres provides wonderful nightly gatherings, very nice people and a propane refueling station. Visitors can enjoy the proximity to the Ellsworth areas fantastic shopping and two other supermarkets, all of which are a bit less expensive than the one in Bar Harbor. Many local people come here for summer getaways now because they are the most affordable, upscale campground in the area. A plus is it is also within a short distance to the part of Acadia National Park across the bay from Bar Harbor. Timberland Acres is highly recommended for anyone planning a trip to the Acadia National Park area.
