Freeport Village Campground is a great place for retirees and families alike. The campground is located less than 2 miles from the interstate, making it an ideal spot for exploring south-eastern Maine. The roads are paved and gravel, and there is a little bit of incline coming in, but it is easy to maneuver a big rig. The campground offers plenty of amenities, including a heated pool, a game room, and a central building with bathrooms and showers. The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating, especially to those with special needs. There is plenty of shade, and satellite reception is good, although some sites may have trees that block reception. The campground is also conveniently located near LL Bean and other shopping outlets in Freeport. Cable and internet are no longer available, making the campground a bit pricey. However, the staff is very helpful and provides lots of area information.
