This campground is located near Freeport and provides a beautiful view of the bay. It is perfect for an overnight stay or a longer stay, with many sites on the water and plenty of room to walk. The comfort stations provide private space with a sink, toilet and shower stall, and the staff are accommodating. Boondocking is pleasant with cooler nighttime temperatures. There is a boat launch, a sandy beach, and a playground for children. Every type of camp vehicle is represented, including tenters, vans, vintage, Class A and Class C. There are places for groups to gather, and a well maintained trail for walking dogs. The waters edge may seem murky, but it may be typical for the area. Generator hours are from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.; 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sites are dirt and grass, and there are strict rules about generator use. Verizon cell and data are good. Water and a dump station is provided.
