West Bay Acadia RV Campground in Gouldsboro, ME is a terraced campground with 26 sites all featuring full hook-up and scenic bay views. With no bathhouse, all sites must be self-contained. The campground is one year old and has great infrastructure, including a well with tasty water. The night sky is stunningly dark and bright, allowing you to see constellations and meteor showers. Wildlife sightings are frequent, including deer, wild turkeys, woodchucks, and porcupines. Owners are very friendly and happy to share local knowledge about the area. The campground has an extensive amount of information available online. Sites range in price from $125-$165/night and most have two sewer hook-ups for maximum convenience. Wi-Fi is excellent and allows streaming, zooming, or surfing. The campground has a free community garden full of fresh produce and an outdoor shower for rinsing off saltwater. It is located right on the water and features a short nature trail and off-leash dog park. The campground is approximately 45 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and the main section of Acadia National Park and just ten minutes from the Schoodic Woods section of Acadia. Additionally, there are many nearby nature preserves and public lands that have great hiking trails.
