What others are saying about this campground
Lily Bay State Park is a great facility for RV camping located nine miles north of Greenwood. Most of the campsites provide ample shade and privacy through screening and trees. While the electric and water hookups are not available, there is a dump station on site and water spigots throughout. The tenting-only sites are large and widely spaced, making them excellent locations. The comfort station, which includes restrooms and free hot showers, is between the two loops and a bit far from some of the sites. But it is not a major issue, as there is a parking area in front of the building. The park provides plenty of outdoor activities, which include hiking trails along the lakes shoreline and woods, mountain hiking, swimming beach, playground, and boat launches for kayaking, canoeing, and trailered boats. Grocery, gas, and dining options are a bit far from the park, and its recommended to gather supplies before entering the park. Ice and firewood are available at the gatehouse. All sites are primitive, with no electricity or water. The heavily wooded campground gets pitch-black at night, so remember to bring a flashlight. The campers can use generators on tent sites away from RV rental sites, providing more privacy. The best sites are the ones right on the water, providing incredible views of Moosehead Lake. The campground is a peaceful and quiet place to fish, paddle, and enjoy the surrounding trails.
