Sunset Point Campground is a small, scenic, and peaceful camping experience. It has a nice shore line trail to walk and is a great location for a trip to Machias and Milbridge. While the sites are not very private, they do include a shelter, picnic table, and water view for some. The gentleman running it is super nice and has good local knowledge. The campground is clean and has everything that you need: electric and water hook-ups in trailer sites, a laundry room with one washer and dryer, and clean restrooms. Firewood is cheap and ice and beverages are sold in the office. There’s a boat dock and a short trail to watch the sunset. If you want a pool, game room and planned activities this park is not for you, but if you want a quiet, clean, scenic and peaceful camping experience then Sunset Point Campground is highly recommended.
