Red Apple Campground in Kennebunkport, ME is a well-maintained, treed, and grassy campground thats great for long-term residents. The staff may appear a bit gruff but are pleasant when you get to know them. The bathrooms are spotless, and the grounds are immaculate. While the RV/tent sites are mostly in the open, there are trees for shade. However, there isnt much privacy. Its a bit pricey, but its not out of line for the area, especially since its so well-kept. Its a bit isolated, and theres not much to do nearby, but that might be a plus for some who want a quiet getaway.

Clean, Quiet, & Relaxing - The Way Camping Should Be! The Red Apple Campground is located only 5 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean with its lovely beaches, and downtown Kennebunkport, which has great shops, galleries, deep sea fishing and sightseeing excursions, many fine restaurants, and fresh seafood. The campground offers full-service sites, RV sites, and tent sites, all with water and electric hookups, picnic tables, and fire rings. The grounds are spotless and well-manicured, with flower gardens, pruned shrubbery, hand-painted birdhouses, and the greenest grass around. The campground also features a recreation area with a new playset, basketball hoop, horseshoe pits, bocce ball & shuffleboard courts, and a new adult-sized swing set. They host various activities in the rec hall such as dances, bingo, card night, karaoke, cribbage tournaments, pancake breakfasts, potluck suppers, and dessert nights. The campground is pet-friendly and offers a 24' x 48' pet exercise area with plenty of fresh water and new toys to play with. They also offer lobster delivery to your site, and a pickleball court for fun. Reservations are strongly suggested, as they sell out often.
