Sandy Pines Campground in Kennebunkport, ME is a great park with beautiful setting and lots of family-friendly amenities. The bathrooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is always pleasant and helpful. The playgrounds are great for kids, and the free showers were a nice and convenient option. The laundry room is clean, although the time constraint for operating hours may not be ideal for everyone. The pool is not heated as advertised and is considerably colder than expected, however, the little kids pool may make up for it. Booking a time slot for a chair or towel can be a hassle at times. The bathroom showers are tiny and dark, lacking a decent-sized shelf and brighter lighting. SUP and Kayaks rentals are available but pricey for only 3 hours. Kids activities are not clearly advertised and can be difficult to find. Despite these minor setbacks, Sandy Pines Campground is great overall and definitely worth a visit.
