What others are saying about this campground
This small, family run campground is the perfect spot to get away from it all and explore the beauty of western Maine. With wooded sites that offer water and electric hookups for a price that is on par with state parks without utilities, it is a great value for those looking for a peaceful retreat. The campground is surrounded by stunning mountains, rolling fields, towering trees, fragrant wildflowers, and beautiful butterflies. Facilities are good and clean, but could use some TLC. There is a cozy gathering room with couches, a TV, books, a wood stove, and a game room. A short walk away is Tufts Pond, a great spot for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, or fishing in season. Unfortunately, the campground does not accept credit cards, so be sure to bring cash or a check. The playground is a bit run-down with rusty tonka toys, so it may not be ideal for young children. The roads to the dump station are deeply rutted and have tight corners, so it may be best to avoid it. Finally, be aware that the campground may not be suitable for motorhomes due to the potential for damage from the gully.
