Pine Grove Campground is a remote and wooded campground situated on the East Branch of the Penobscot River. It is a great spot for outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, bird watching and more. The campground is older and is being restored by new owners, so there are a few tree droppings and sap to be aware of. The owners are friendly and helpful, and offer discounts and services such as a honey wagon with no charge. Water hook up is far back on the site, and satellite connection is only available on the river sites. There is no access to the river from this site due to a 10 foot drop. The campground is quiet and peaceful, and visitors can enjoy a campfire and starry night sky. Raccoons, wild turkeys, and owls may also be seen.

Pine Grove Campground is a rustic campground located in the heart of the Northern Maine Woods. With 19 riverfront acres and over 43 sites, it is the ideal base for exploring the many exciting natural treasures in northern Maine. The campground offers a variety of accommodations, including tent sites, RV hookups, fully equipped cottages, and rental RVs. Guests can enjoy camping on the banks of the East Branch of the Penobscot River, with free canoeing and kayaking and excellent smallmouth bass fishing. Pine Grove Campground is conveniently located near Baxter State Park, Mt. Katahdin, and the new Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, as well as mountain biking and hiking at the Penobscot River Trails. The campground offers a variety of amenities, including river tubing, a general store, laundry facilities, and a playground. Pets are welcome.
