Wilderness Edge Campground in Millinocket, ME offers a beautiful and quiet setting with private sites tucked away in the woods. However, the campground is poorly designed and can be difficult for big rigs to navigate due to narrow roads and challenging placement of RV hookups. The restrooms and showers are clean but the ladies room has a puddle leading to the showers. The outdoor pool is a nice addition and stargazing is excellent, but wifi is only available at the bathhouse. The Appalachian Trail Diner in town is highly recommended, but watch out for unexpected fees like an $8 early check-in charge and reservation insurance. Additionally, its important to note that dogs are not allowed in nearby Baxter State Park.
