What others are saying about this campground
Blackwoods Campground in Mt. Desert, ME is a large and popular campground located in the heart of Acadia National Park. With 306 wooded campsites, youll be sure to find a comfortable and private spot. The sites are easy to pull in and out of and although close together, trees and shrubs provide sufficient privacy. While none of the sites have electrical hookups, the campground is managed by running a generator once or twice a day and has some solar power available. The campground is known for its stunning natural beauty and is only a short five-minute walk from the coast. The park offers many walking paths and great bike routes to explore the surrounding pristine wilderness. At night, the campground is very dark, making it the perfect location for stargazing. While the campground itself has no showers, the bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. Access to Acadia National Park from Blackwoods Campground is unmatched, and youll be able to experience an unforgettable sunrise right from your campsite. The popularity of this campground often means it fills up quickly, but its worth the effort to secure a reservation.
