The staff is very friendly and helpful. Lots of shade, lake is magnificent. There is easy access to Bar Harbor, Moosehead Lake, Camden and Bangor is only 20 minutes away. The sites are mostly level and open with great views of the lake. The park store has a variety of reasonably priced items and a soft-serve ice cream machine with daily flavors. The road in is dirt and somewhat bumpy, and the laundry requires quarters. Most of the campground is filled with seasonal campers, but there are a few pull-through sites with 30 amp and sewer connections. The bathrooms are rustic, and the showers require quarters. All in all, this is a great place to stay and relax and enjoy the view of the lake.
