What others are saying about this campground
This remote campground located at the Northwest tip of Moosehead Lake is the perfect place to get away from it all. With crystal clear waters, majestic mountains in the distance, and an abundance of wildlife, this campground is a slice of heaven. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, and fishing in the nearby lakes and streams, or take a drive on the 33 mile dirt road to explore the area. The campsites are spacious and each waterfront site has a leen-too, perfect for watching the moon rise over the mountains. Fire-pits are also provided for cool evening temperatures. There is limited internet and no cell service, so this is the perfect place to disconnect and relax. Be sure to fill up your gas tank before heading in, as the nearest restaurant is an hour or more drive away. Although the road in from Rockwood can be bumpy, it is worth it for the serenity and beauty of this campground.
