Seawall Campground is the perfect place to stay if youre looking to experience the beauty of Acadia National Park. Located on the quiet side of Mt Desert Island, the campground offers woodsy, walk-in sites with plenty of privacy. The bathrooms are clean and modern, though there are no showers or soap. There is a pay facility a mile away towards Southwest Harbor. The campground is surrounded by gorgeous geography and kind neighboring towns, making it an outstanding and affordable experience. It is a bit of a drive to get to the main attractions in Acadia, but the peacefulness of the area is well worth it. There are multiple hikes close by and an easy walk over to the rocky shore and a picnic area. The campground is perfect for families, as the sites are large and there is a wheelbarrow for moving your items.

From The Campground

Seawall Campground is located on the west side of Mount Desert Island, about 4 miles (6 km) south of Southwest Harbor. The campground offers walk-in tent sites, drive-up tent, camper, and motor home sites, and group tent sites. Reservations can be made up to two months in advance on recreation.gov. The campground does not have showers, but private vendors are available nearby.
