APG Shore Park Travel Camp is a newly opened military base campground located just minutes away from normal life and the shoreline. With spacious, generously spaced sites and concrete pads, it is a safe and private place to stay. The park is nearby with playgrounds, pool, boat ramp and small beach. The campground is well laid out and reasonably quiet except for daily ordinance testing (explosions), but not at night. The restroom and shower facilities are clean and a model for other campgrounds to take a lesson from. The hookups are nice, but the sewer is 6 inches off the ground, which makes drainage difficult. The camp has cemented RV sites, full hookups, and a very clean bath house with key coded locks. WiFi is strong at the campground and close to the water. However, MWR asks that you email PII to make reservations, so a web-based and secure reservation system is recommended.

Aberdeen Proving Ground Campgrounds is an official army family and MWR site that offers three campgrounds: Shore Park Travel Camp, Marylander RV Park, and Skippers Point Campground. Shore Park Travel Camp offers year-round camping with 5 deluxe cabins and 24 back-in RV sites with full utility service hookup. Marylander RV Park also offers year-round camping with 11 back-in RV sites. Skippers Point Campground is open from April through October and offers 15 sites with primitive tent camping only. All sites include fire pits and picnic tables. The campgrounds are located in APG, Maryland and offer a variety of amenities and activities for eligible patrons.
