This campground is located in a residential area and is accessed by a curvy road with limited signage. It is populated by permanent personnel, making reservations difficult. The interior roads are gravel and hilly with sharp turns, making it difficult to navigate with larger rigs. Most of the sites are concrete pads, but they are not long enough to accommodate larger RVs. There is a primitive area for tent camping, but sites are not marked. During certain seasons, there may be limited satellite reception due to the abundance of trees. The campground is close to a full service commissary, exchange, gas station, and golf course. They honor the America the Beautiful card for a 50% discount. This campground is suited for shorter rigs and those looking for an inexpensive place to stay while touring the area.

From The Campground
The Navy Getaways Campground is located across the Severn River at NSA Annapolis and offers 14 RV sites and 12 tent camping Sites. The Campground is a short drive from the Academy, downtown Annapolis and is within walking distance to the Navy Exchange and the Commissary. The RV sites have concrete pads that accommodate RV’s from 30 to 50 feet long and have water and 30-amp service with one additional 20-amp outlet. A bathhouse and a central dump station are also available. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and a charcoal grill. The RV sites are open year round and the tent campsites are open from April 1 to October 31.
