Janes Island State Park is a beautiful and well-maintained campground located in Crisfield, MD. The sites are mostly level and easy to back into, and there is a canal that separates the campground from the uninhabited Janes Island. The campground offers electric hookups, but there is also a water spigot and a potable water source nearby for convenience. The sites are spacious and come with fire rings, tables, and lantern hooks. The campground is one of the quietest places youll ever stay in, which makes for a relaxing experience. There are lots of activities to do, such as water recreation, paddleboarding (though not tested by the reviewer), and nature trails with informative plaques explaining the flora and fauna of the area. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the nature center is a must-see with its educational exhibits about oyster harvesting and history. There are warnings regarding bugs during the off season, but that is to be expected in a marshy area like this. Sunsets from the campground are quite spectacular. Overall, this is a great spot for RV campers looking for a peaceful and scenic retreat in Maryland.
