Campers will enjoy a peaceful and quiet stay at this campground located on the Choptank River with boat ramp access, a nature center, and pavilion overlooking Watts Creek. With limited sites to fit rigs in excess of 40 ft., campers should check the reservation system first. The heated bath house is centrally located and recently built or renovated, with 3 stalls and 2 showers. The nearby town of Denton has a Walmart, chain and standalone restaurants, gas stations, and modern conveniences. Activities include disc golf, mountain biking, fishing, swimming, and boating (canoe/kayak rentals available). There is a junior ranger program, and multiple playgrounds and trails (flat and not very long) for kids. Unfortunately, the park is located near a firehouse siren that goes off during emergencies, and there are nearby goose hunters at sunrise. Water spigots are available on the loop to fill fresh water tanks, and the dump station is located at Tuckahoe State Park, about 10 min drive away. Verizon cell phone coverage is only 2-3 bars, and OTA TV is limited. Seniors receive a discounted rate.

Martinak State Park is a recreational facility and natural area located in Caroline County, Maryland. The park is bordered by the Choptank River and Watts Creek, and offers a wide variety of plant and animal life. Anglers can enjoy the opportunity to catch bass, perch, sunfish, and catfish. The park features modern campsites, hiking trails, a playground, shelters, and a nature center. Pets are allowed in all areas of the park except the shelter and cabins.
