What others are saying about this campground
This campground is a great spot for a quick overnight stay or a longer vacation. Located off a busy highway, but secluded enough to enjoy the peaceful forest, it offers 30 amp electric hookups, a central water filling station, and a dump station. The gravel sites are fairly level and offer plenty of privacy, with trees surrounding each one. There are also primitive camping sites for smaller trailers and tents. The campground is conveniently located near Catonsville and Baltimore, with easy access to Washington, Columbia, Ellicott City, and Lower Pennsylvania. There are plenty of hiking trails, although they are overgrown and not clearly marked. The campground also has a welcome center, bathhouses, dumpsters, and potable water. Be aware of the 11 foot height restriction when entering from the westbound highway. There are also senior citizen discounts available. The campground hosts are friendly and helpful, and the Scales & Tails program at the campfire area is a great way to spend an evening.
