Verizon cellular showed 2 bars of LTE but speeds were too slow to be usable for internet. Although the two pools and playground afforded some time away from the campsite, there really wasnt much room or privacy to enjoy the site and there was a lot of traffic noise due to the major road located behind it. The 6 miles it takes to get to the campground off the interstate is a very curvy and mountainous road. There is a cool little bar down the road called Bills Place that serves dinner. The roads are gravel and winding and narrow, so it is not recommended for big rigs. The office staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel at home.

For those seeking additional excitement, this campground is adjacent to the East Coast Sturgis, an annual motorcycle event held in the summer. Additionally, the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, Lock 56 Rentals for canoe, kayak, tube, and bicycle rentals, and the Greenridge Horse Ranch are within an easy drive, offering diverse activities for all ages.
