The campground is nestled in a beautiful area with a nice nature preserve nearby and is only 20 miles from the D.C. memorials. The resort has the potential to be a really nice place to stay, but it is unfortunate that the facilities are poorly maintained. The resort has a history of allowing junk and car trailers to pile up creating an unpleasant look in the camping grounds. The campers are a nice mix of work and long-term residents, but it is unfortunate that their rigs are in dire need of repair, and they take up some open areas. All in all, it is not the best resort, but it is an acceptable place to enjoy the beauty of nature and explore the D.C. area.
