What others are saying about this campground
The campground is located adjacent to the Outdoor Recreation facility and has a cafe on site. It is a great base to visit Baltimore, DC, Marine Corps museum and Annapolis. The sites are large, pretty level, easy in and out, and have a fire ring, table and all concrete. There is a security patrol, limited to military/retired military, and bathrooms need updating. The campground is well maintained and has clean facilities, bathhouse and playground. The office is open from 9am to 5pm Monday thru Friday and closed all weekends, but you can check in after hours with a code for the entry gate. The Exchange and Commissary are not within walking distance but are not far from the campground and an ambulatory care clinic is just down the street. There are very few pull-through sites, so if you need one of those, reserve early and a deposit of your entire stay will lock it in place. The campground is overgrown and mowing takes place 3 or 4 week intervals, however the entire base is overgrown. There is limited cell service (1 bar usually and 2 if your lucky), however a cell tower on this side of the base would correct the issue. There is a severe tick infestation and poison ivy along one side of the campground.
