There is a small Visitors Center as you enter the park that is packed full of exhibits, a few items for sale and informative rangers and volunteers. There is a small creek nearby with a boardwalk that is handicap accessible. The campground is situated in a dense, old growth forest of maple, oak, hickory, poplar and black walnut, so sunlight does not really make its way through the tall thick canopy. There is running water, flush toilets, and showers nearby. It is close to DC and Gettysburg Battlefield, making it an ideal location for exploring the area. It is a quiet campground and perfect for a weekend getaway.
