Bourne Scenic Park is a popular campground in Buzzards Bay, MA, conveniently located for a visit to Cape Cod. The campground has a mix of seasonal and non-seasonal sites, with some well-kept sites along the canal. The sites are shaded and some are close together. Most of the campground is crowded. Despite the Memorial Day crowds, the campground was surprisingly quiet. The poor Wi-Fi service is a downside, but the ATT Hot spot works fine. The campground is the more expensive option compared to other campgrounds during a cross-country trip. Nevertheless, cable TV, water, and electric hookups are included. There are several renovated bathroom and shower facilities on site. Traffic and noise from nearby Route 6 can be heard from certain parts of the campground, and street construction can cause long delays. Overall, its a good option for those looking to explore Cape Cod.
From The Campground
Bourne Scenic Park has been serving the community since 1951 and offers 439 sites, 408 of which are electric with newly added Cabins & Lodges. The park is owned and operated by the Bourne Recreation Authority on land leased from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. While camping, visitors can enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, rollerblading, scheduled activities for both children and adults, Rec. Hall with video games and movies, Park Store featuring groceries, ice cream, clothing, and camping supplies, or enjoying the Pools and Recreation areas. The park is pet-friendly and offers numerous amenities to make for a comfortable stay.
