Black Bear Campground is a campground with a campground-like atmosphere. It is filled with long term and seasonal guests who have built their own campsites around their RVs with multiple canopies, rugs, deck furniture, and more. Although power is a concern with the phase 1 voltage only 109 volts due to heavy air conditioner use on the 30 amp sites, the campground is still filled with good vibes. The sites are basic dirt/gravel/bark with a fire pit and picnic table, plus plenty of trees. The staff is unfriendly and the camp is not kept up, with too narrow sites for big rigs, golf carts and bicycles everywhere. There is also a pay-to-shower policy. Nearby is a seafood dive called Lenas, and a great playground. The best part of the campground is its proximity to I-95 and beaches. The back-in sites are deep enough to stay hooked up and on a slight grade, making them perfectly level.
