GenieSummary

Black Bear Campground in Salisbury, MA is an accessible and well-located option for travelers visiting the Boston area. The site offers a mix of long-term and seasonal guests, with some sites being better kept than others. The gravel sites, with wood chip lawn areas, are fairly level. The location has a lot of trees, but some are planted near the roads, so navigation with large rigs can be a challenge. Water pressure is good at 60 lbs, but the cable TV signal was very fuzzy. Xfinity worked fine at the site, and there is no OTA or satellite due to the heavy tree coverage. Wireless available via a third party, had good signal strength, but the system kept dropping our server every few minutes so it was almost useless. The guest community is friendly, but with overcrowded tent areas on weekends, the overall ambience deteriorates slightly. Moreover, the power supply is a concern, with the phase 1 voltage only 109 volts due to heavy air conditioner use on the 30 amp sites, and it gradually improved on Phase 2 to 119 volts.
