What others are saying about this campground
Wells State Park in Sturbridge, MA is a good spot to take a break during a trip. While some of the pull-through sites may not be well-maintained or level, there are other private sites that are spacious and pretty. Verizon cell coverage is limited, but the beach area is in close proximity to lower sites. One downside is that non-MA residents are charged $50/night, which may not be worth it considering there is no dump station on-site and firewood sold at the park is overpriced. However, there are other stores nearby to get supplies. The park offers hiking trails and a night hike with a guide was a highlight for some visitors. While a nearby highway can be loud, the overall experience is enjoyable.
