This campground is a great spot to enjoy a peaceful and scenic getaway. It offers spacious, spread-out sites with many right on the water. There is a small beach with a steep incline, and a larger beach at the nearby recreation area. There are no hookups, only dry camping, and the roads are a bit bumpy. The bathrooms are in need of updating and cleaning, but they are usable. There are activities for the kids at the sister campground Otter River, and a dump station for RVs. The campground closes after Labor Day.

From The Campground
Located in Winchendon, the Lake Dennison Recreation Area has 150 campsites and a beach where you can swim. Due to recent weather conditions, snowmobile trails are closed until further notice. The campground offers a variety of activities including hiking, camping, mountain biking, swimming, canoeing and kayaking, boating (non-motorized), fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing, and horseback riding. Facilities include a boat ramp (car top), grills, educational programs, pavilion, picnic areas, restrooms, showers, and trailer / R.V. dumping. Beach wheelchairs are available. Alcohol and dogs are not allowed on the beach. Camping at Lake Dennison is $17/night for Massachusetts residents and $54/night for non-residents. Group camp sites are $35/night for Massachusetts residents and $100/night for non-residents.
