This campground is a great family-friendly destination with a historic feel. It is situated in a wooded area with creeks, dams, and ponds throughout. There is a swimming hole with a small beach area and floats for the kids to play on. The campground offers a variety of activities such as horseshoes, basketball, volleyball, fishing, swimming (pool & pond), 2 playgrounds, trails, hayrides, and more. The town of Allen is nearby and offers antique stores, Amish goods, and friendly locals. Each campsite has its own spigot, but the water has a strong sulfur smell. The bathrooms and showers are not as clean as expected, and there are no locks on the stalls. The campground is still in the process of cleaning and opening the pool due to the cool wet spring. Once summer is in full swing, visitors can enjoy all the amenities and activities the campground has to offer.
