Au Train Lake Campground in Au Train, MI is a quiet and laid-back rustic campground with plenty of opportunities to relax and explore. Half of the sites are reservable, and the other half are first come, first served. The campsites are well separated and offer lots of privacy. The campground has big, level campsites with a fire ring and picnic table, and hookups. The vault toilets are by far the cleanest the reviewers have ever encountered. Potable water is available, and there are water spigots at the entrance. The campground features a swimming beach, hiking trails, boat launch, and a bird walk. Mosquitoes can be a problem in the area, but high-quality citronella candles can help keep them at bay. Despite the bugs, reviewers loved the campgrounds easy access to nearby attractions like Lake Superior, Munising, and Pictured Rocks. Many plan to visit again.
