From The Campground

Bowman Lake Campground is located in the Huron-Manistee National Forests and offers a variety of recreational activities. Visitors can enjoy non-motorized boating, including canoeing, kayaking, and rowboating. The campground has a 10-vehicle capacity parking lot and a carry-in boat ramp. The area is also great for nature viewing and wildlife watching, with an online version of the Michigan Wildlife Viewing Guide available on the MI-DNRE website. In the winter, visitors can enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on the nearby trails. The campground does not have any warming shelters or nearby resorts. The trail is not groomed in the winter. There are no size restrictions for boats and the difficulty level is easy. Please note that there is no trailer parking available.
