It offers spacious and private wooded sites with walls of greenery separating the campsites. Mountain bike and hiking trails run through the campground and Bishop Lake beach and Jump Island are a 5 min drive away. It is a great spot for fishing and camping, with sites that are fairly secluded from each other. Each site has a fire ring and ample space to park your vehicle and set up a tent or small trailer. Appleton Lake is perfect for kayaking or very small fishing boats. There are modern bathrooms and showers, a small play area with swings, ladder ball, and corn hole sets, and a harvest festival during the month of October. The campground is great for families and offers plenty of activities such as hiking, fishing, swimming, and picnicking.
