What others are saying about this campground
Brimley State Park is a great location for a camping getaway in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It offers a small but scenic beach area with a great view of the St. Mary’s portion of Whitefish Bay, where you can watch the Great Lakes freighters line up as they prepare to pass through the Soo Locks. The park is only 160 acres, so the campground sites are crammed in pretty close to one another in a relatively open area with multiple rows. There are 230 sites, varying in size and some are more pull-in sideways than back in. The sites are not large or secluded, but provide enough space for larger camping set ups. The park also offers a playground and a designated swimming area. There are two bathhouses, one older style and one newer, modern style, but both are often dirty and the showers lack ventilation. The campground is close to many attractions such as beaches, Point Iriquois, Bay Mills Casino, Sault Ste Marie, and Tahquamenon Falls. There is also a small IGA store and Superior Pizza and Subs nearby for meals. The only major complaint is that there is only 1 mini cabin.
