Sleeper State Park offers a nice beach across the road from the campground. The campground is typical for Michigan state parks, with lots of trees and tight roads, offering electric hookups only. The potable water and dump station can fit two campers, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The sites around the perimeter offer more seclusion, and some of the sites have dips, so taller rigs should use caution. The Independence Day fireworks in nearby Caseville is a popular draw, and the halloween program every weekend in October is a great attraction. Cell service is ok for AT&T, but not for T-Mobile. It is a family friendly campground with bike and walking trails and a bridge walkway over the highway to the beach. The beach is rocky, but the stars at night are beautiful. The campground is crowded and some sites are hard to back into, but the location is great.
