Fishermans Island State Park in Charlevoix, MI is located near a cement factory, which could be concerning to some, but many campers said that the noise and vibrations werent too bad. Most of the sites are secluded and the campground itself is quiet, although some mentioned that sites 2 and 3 dont offer much privacy between them. The outhouses were well-maintained and some of the nicer ones the campers had used. The water station is located in the front loop but there are a couple in the back that can be used. There are hiking trails down to the beach, where campers have been fortunate to find Petoskey stones. Beachfront sites are considered the best, but the other sites are not bad either. However, this park is not ideal for big rigs due to its narrow roads, campsites, and low branches.
