The park is close to Battle Creek and Kalamazoo, as well as Binder Park Zoo and Kelloggs Cereal City. There is a lot of lake for small boating and kayaking. Unfortunately, the park is next to a busy road, so there is traffic all night.

The park spans 276 acres and features three lakes, unique wetlands, a swimming beach, boat ramp, group picnic areas, playgrounds, disc golf, fishing, hiking trails, volleyball, and softball. The campground has 29 sites with electric and water hookups, modern restrooms and showers, and firewood sales. Accessible campsites are available. Picnic shelters are also available for family gatherings, company picnics, school outings, or group picnics. Reservations are required for both camping and picnic shelters.
