What others are saying about this campground
Drummond Island Township Park is a rustic campground located less than 6 miles from the ferry and close to the “Four Corners” area. Its a self-serve, pick a spot, and put the money in the slot kinda place. Each site has its own rustic stone fire pit and picnic table. The wooded sites are large and provide nice privacy. The bathrooms are rustic style pit toilets and there are no showers. There are also two water stations and a grilling area. Some sites have electricity, which costs an extra $5 for a trailer or $3 for a tent. The campground is dog friendly and offers a three mile hiking trail right off the campground. At night, you can watch hundreds of crawdads crawling across the rocks, and if youre brave enough, you can catch them by the bucketload. The island is full of ORV trails and is great for paddling when the prevailing winds are not too strong. The campground is best for small rigs or tents and is the best priced of campgrounds on the island at $21 per night. The campground is generally quiet, but can be busier and noisier when one of the popular jeep or ATV get togethers is occurring. Its a great place to explore and enjoy the beautiful scenery on a quiet island.
