GenieSummary
This family-owned campground is a great place for a one night stay to break in a new camper. Located within 15 minutes of home, the campground offers grassy sites with gravel driveways and roads throughout. It is a laid-back, quiet and well-placed campground with plenty of room for a camper, boat, and vehicle. The campground is situated next to a bike trail that connects to Frankfort, Elberta, and Beulah, and is only a short drive from Frankfort, a quaint town with unique restaurants, stores, and a great beach on Lake Michigan. The campground also has a general store, a fish cleaning station, and a café serving up delicious breakfasts. The sites are a little small and close together, but offer plenty of shade and a few cabins for rent. The campground is also close to many attractions, including Sleeping Bear Dunes, Lake Michigan beaches, kayaking/canoeing/tubing river trips, and great fishing. However, the campground only has 20 amp electrical service, and the dump station is awkward and does not angle the camper correctly.
